Resident Sound Journeys · Communities & Clubs

A quiet evening for your residents.

A live, immersive sound journey in your own clubhouse — an ethereal bed of 12+ crystal singing bowls, a layer of sound healing instruments (rainsticks, chimes, pyramids, Tibetan bowls and more), and either violin, African harp, or lever harp — played by a lifelong musician while your residents rest. Nothing is asked of anyone. Chairs are welcome, pillows encouraged.

What an evening gives your residents

An hour where nothing is asked of them.

Your residents have full calendars, and most of what is on them asks something of them: a class to keep up with, a game to win, a conversation to carry. A sound journey asks nothing. They sit in a chair or lie on a mat with a pillow (some bring their own weighted blanket), eyes open or closed, and listen while the room fills with sound. Sixty minutes later they walk out quieter than they walked in, and they tell their neighbors about it — which is how the next one fills, and why my public sessions often sell out.

Rest is essential, not a luxury. And clarity emerges once the body and mind have been gifted the rest they need.

How an evening works

Your clubhouse, one evening a month, and nothing for you to set up.

I arrive 90 minutes early (up to two hours, depending on the room and parking) with every instrument and my own sound, set the room, and play a live, fully immersive soundscape for 60 minutes. Residents bring a mat, a pillow or a weighted blanket, or take a chair. The volume is gentle; anyone may sit up, shift to a more comfortable position, or leave at any time, and I say so at the start. One evening first. If your residents want more, a monthly series through the season, each month with its own theme.

i.

The room

Your social hall, ballroom, or clubhouse room, with chairs and floor space for up to 25. Quiet, and dimmable if possible.

ii.

The evening

A weekday evening or a Sunday late afternoon. 60 minutes. A brief welcome, the journey, and a gentle return.

iii.

The promotion kit

I send you a flyer, photos, a paragraph bio, a paragraph description and the reservation link, ready to paste into your newsletter and resident portal.

What makes these different

A live composition, not a set of bowls played one at a time.

A lifelong musician, composing in the moment

I am classically trained, and I play the evening the way a musician plays a concert: 12+ crystal bowls tuned to sing together in harmony, with violin, African harp or lever harp carrying melody over them. It responds to the room, never a playlist.

Every evening is different

The instruments rotate. One month the kora, the next the lever harp, another the violin, with a changing layer of rainsticks, chimes, pyramids and Tibetan bowls. That is why a monthly series stays new for residents who have seen everything.

A journey, not background sound

Each evening has a theme drawn from the season or the moon, an opening that settles the room, and a gentle return, so residents leave clear rather than drowsy.

Made for every body in the room

Trauma-informed facilitation: chairs welcome, pillows encouraged, gentle volume, and the freedom to sit up, shift, or step out at any time. The person who has never done anything like this is as comfortable as the one who has.

Two ways to bring it

Ticketed for residents, or covered by the community.

Most communities choose this

The Resident Sound Journey Series

Ticketed · $45 a seat to me · up to 25
  • Residents reserve online; your newsletter carries the date, with the flyer and description I provide.
  • My rate is $45 per seat, with a minimum of fourteen seats ($600) per evening. If fewer have reserved ten days before, we move the date to the next month — or the community may choose to cover the difference.
  • The community sets the resident ticket price and keeps anything above $45. When the room fills, there is no cost to the community.
  • One evening first; then a monthly series through the season.

The Resident Reset

Covered by the community · residents attend free
$800 per evening
  • The same evening, as a resident benefit, no tickets.
  • A standing monthly slot for six or twelve months at the same rate — with a themed arc across the months and a short recording each month for residents to use in between.
  • Invoiced to the association or club.

Not sure which fits? Tell me about your community below and I'll suggest the shape that suits your residents and your calendar.

Questions lifestyle directors ask

The practical part.

Do residents need to get down on the floor?

No. Chairs are welcome. Anyone who likes the floor brings a mat and a pillow; some bring their own weighted blanket, which I encourage.

Is it loud?

The volume is gentle and tuned to the room; anyone may sit up or step out at any time.

What do we need to provide?

The room, chairs and floor space, the date in your newsletter and portal, and one staff contact for the evening. I bring every instrument and my own sound system, and I send you a promotion kit (flyer, photos, bio and description) so the listing takes you ten minutes.

How do tickets work?

My rate is $45 a seat. Residents reserve through a reservation link I send you with the promotion kit, and I send you the count as it grows; or the community runs registration through its own portal at whatever price it chooses, keeps anything above $45, and we settle the door after the evening.

What if fewer than fourteen sign up?

Ten days before the date, we move it to the next month, or the community may choose to cover the difference. The way out is written in so nobody is uncomfortable.

Is this therapy?

No. It is an hour of rest, not therapy and not a class. I describe what happens in the room and never promise an outcome; residents are free to take from it what they take.
